Our Origins

Nestled within the bluestone walls of the 150-year-old Terminus in Fitzroy North, Cinder is a celebration of dry-aged meat, fresh seasonal produce and cooking over fire. Rich hues of teal and burnt orange beautifully offset exposed bluestone in a space that combines casual fine dining with the warmth of traditional hospitality.

For the brave and curious, pull up a seat at the Chef’s Table where there are no menus and no two visits are the same. Expect ‘best of the day’ ingredients around a centrepiece of various dry-aged meats where you can taste and compare the difference in aging times and techniques.

Cinder is located behind the historic Terminus Hotel, at 18 Brennand Street, Fitzroy North, just off Queens Parade. We’re easily accessible via Tram 11 and Tram 86, and only minutes from the CBD, Clifton Hill and Fitzroy.

There is street parking available on Brennand Street and the surrounding side streets. Evenings and weekends generally offer the best availability.

We welcome intimate dinners, celebrations, date nights, long lunches and group bookings.
Bookings are recommended, especially for Wagyu Wednesday, Sunday Lunch, and special event dinners.
